 Summer Activity Programme

 

Every Monday    7pm – 9.30pm

Senior Youth Club – Free

A drop in youth club for young people in year groups 9, 10 and 11. A different main activity each week with play equipment and arts and crafts materials also available. 

 

 Every Wednesday 7pm – 9.pm

Project night – Free

A drop in for young people with activities based on a 6 week themed programme. This youth club is for year 9’s. Activities include cooking, art, craft, sports and games.

Every Thursday (starting 29th July)  4pm – 6pm

Afternoon Club – Free

A youth club with fun activities available for young people. Drop in and take part in an organised activity or just play a game of pool, table tennis, use the Wii or X-box. Have a go at cooking a healthy snack.

 

Tuesday 27th  July Living Rainforest

£5 – saving up to £3.95 on normal prices

Explore the rainforest, and discover its wonders for yourself. Look out for free roaming lizards, birds and butterflies – you never know where they will appear next! Friday 6th Aug Into the Hoods – dance performance

The Award winning West End smash hit ‘Into the Hoods’ features groovy tunes, wicked dance moves and includes music from Massive Attack, Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas and many more.

Created and performed by critically acclaimed dance company Zoo Nation whose dancers performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday.

 

Tuesday 10th Marwell Zoo

A visit to Marwell Wildlife is a chance to get close to the wonders of the natural world – and play a big part in helping to save them. From ring-tailed coatis to red-eyed tree frogs, laughing kookaburra to frilled lizards, giraffe-nosed catfishes to bat-eared foxes – the 140-acre park is home to over 250 exotic and endangered species, in beautiful, landscaped surroundings.

 

Friday 13th Bell Boating

Free

A great and safe way to enjoy the river. The Bell Boat is twin hulled and young people work together to power the light weight craft across the water. A fun and enjoyable way to enjoy water recreation.

Wednesday 18th Aug Motorvation

Start 9.15am Finish 4pm

This pre-driving course is an excellent way for young people to gain a good insight into what’s involved in being a driver and car owner. With different workshops throughout the day, the course is fun and informative and aims to keep young people safer when they become drivers. Participants can also have a go at driving a car alongside a professional instructor. Another identical course also runs on September 1st

Please note:

  • All activities or trips must be booked and fully paid in advance.
  • Free trips will have a returnable deposit (£10) required to secure place.
  • Regular Youth Club members will have first option of places.
  • Reserve lists will be established. You must be available to up and go if on the reserve list.
