Libraries for teenagers

All the libraries in Wokingham borough have a 14+ section, with a fantastic selection of teenage fiction books. As well as books, most of our libraries offer music CDs and DVDs to hire, plus free computer and internet access.

Teen zones

Wokingham, Woodley, Lower Earley, Winnersh and Maiden Erlegh Libraries have dedicated teen zones with:

• Teenage fiction books
• Non-fiction books on teen issues, lifestyle, hobbies, technology, celebrity biographies and much more!
• Audiobook CDs
• Magazines, from Games Master to Cosmo Girl!

 Manga club

Wokingham Library runs a manga club every 3 weeks on a Thursday, 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

Come along and talk about your favourite manga and anime, share manga drawings, plus get free pizza! Cost £1 per person but places are limited so please call the library to book a place 0118 978 1368.

 Winnersh gaming club

Our gaming club plays Warhammer 40K, Lord of the Rings and Warhammer Fantasy tabletop games. It meets at Winnersh Library, every Saturday morning from 10.30am to 12.30pm for age 11 to 17. No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. £1 per session and places must be booked – call 0118 974 7979 or visit the library.

Book group for 11 to 18 year olds. Meetings are at Wokingham Library, every 3 weeks on a Thursday, 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
