Youth Support
Wokingham Youth Service offers lots of in-house support and advice for young people.
If you browse the drop down menu on “Youth Support” you will see a variety of different areas that we have offering help/support and advice, these areas also contain links to some local and national partners.
If the sections we have are not what your looking for, why not pop into your local Youth Centre (infromation on locations can be found in the Youth Centres section of the site), or find the contact number and give them a call.
Below is Wokingham Youth Services Mission Statement:
Our Pledge to Young People:
- Trustworthy and understanding staff who treat you as individuals and with respect
- Friendly information, support and guidance
- To ask you what you want, value your opinions and where possible, act upon these
- To respect confidentiality unless we have told you we are not able to
- A range of challenging, creative and adventurous activities with opportunities to enjoy and achieve
- Safe and comfortable facilities
- Opportunities to extend friendships and know more about other cultures with young people from other areas, including overseas
- Access to youth workers outside of clubs and centres, eg on the streets
- To offer you opportunities to give back to the community
- Support you to get your voice heard, for example, about better transport
This pledge was put together through consultation and ideas from young people from Wokingham Youth Centre and Youth 10 Forum.
