Wokingham Youth Café

WOKINGHAM Youth Café is a project that has been set up by young people from Wokingham for the young people of the town.

Wokingham youth cafe is a place were young people can hang out, buy food and drinks at a low cost, we also provide volunteering places to gain free training.
Fridays 3-9pm & Saturday 1-4pm @ Wokingham youth centre.

They have many volunteers who work in the café assisting the leaders to run sessions. The volunteer work has aided many people in achieving their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and, in time, we hope to train all our volunteers in food and hygiene as well as giving them the skills to be able to run the café.

The café runs on Friday evenings – 3.30pm to 5.30pm and 6.30pm to 8.30pm (during the youth club session) – and Saturday lunchtimes from 1.30pm

Wokingham youth cafe is a great opportunity to learn new skill such as team work and leadership skills. It also provides you with good experience for working in the real world as well as looking good on application forms. Through the youth café I have met new people build better leadership skills, and working with different people in different roles it's a great experience.

Love it, Hate it, Rate it.
