Young Person Trustee for Connexions – would you like to be it?
Are you passionate about being involved in the decision-making that affects young people? Do you think that you could represent your age group at a senior level for one of the largest organisations of its kind?
Connexions is Governed by a Board of Trustees which meets to discuss the strategies of the company. As well as Directors from Connexions, leaders from partner organisations, local authority representatives and head-teachers, the Board recruits 8 young people.
Connexions is a service that ‘connects’ 13-19 year olds (and up to 25 for those with learning difficulties or disabilities) with all the things that they need to know in order to make a healthy transition into adulthood.
We are now looking for a young trustee who is passionate about the Vision and Values of Connexions and has the motivation to make the most of this fantastic opportunity. Absolutely anybody is welcome to apply, as long as they believe in the importance of the voice of young people and are willing to speak-out in front of large groups!
