Get Involved

There’s lots of ways that young people can get involved in decision making and getting their views heard in the Borough.

Come and BackChat on the 17th November!  This is your chance to ask the questions you want to know the answers to to the people that make decsions on your behalf.

On 12th November young people will be Taking over the Children’s Trust as part of the national Takeover Day.

Y120, the borough’s youth forum, are currently organising BackChat as well as awarding nearley £100,000 in funding to young people’s projects this year.

And then there is this fantastic website – for oung people in wokingham by young people in Wokingham.  We’re always looking for new reviewers – we want your posts on what is out there for young people, what projects or places do you recommend and what news is there!  Just go to the write a review section or email catriona.macmillan@wokingham.gov.uk to find out how you can get more involved.

Neighbourhood Youth Forums

Want to speak out about the issues in your local area?  Are you interested in airing your views about the services and facilities in your local area, as well as finding out more ways that young people can get their views and opinions heard by decision makers?  Do you want to take action about an issue that you feel passionately about?

Youth Citizens’ Panel

Young people can tell the Council what they think of their services  and issues in Wokingham Borough by joining the Borough’s Youth Citizens’ Panel.
