Give your opinions on facilities for young people…
Do you have an opinion on what facilities should be provided for young people in their local area? Would you be interested coming and sharing your views?
Over the next 10 years thousands more houses may be built across Wokingham Borough in 4 areas – and the Council is trying to plan what facilities young people will need in these new areas – do they need youth centre, youth shelters, sports facilities, cycle tracks, transport links etc?
This is your chance to influence a new development for future young people and pass on your feelings about the facilities you’ve currently got in the area – which ones to copy, and which should be avoided at all costs!
There’s a consultation session on Saturday 19th June – if you are interested in coming along – please contact Catriona MacMillan via catriona.macmillan@wokingham.gov.uk or text / ring 07714 226731 to find out times etc – the consultation is being held in Finchampstead in the new community centre which is quite difficult to get to – be we can help with transport if necessary.
To find out the formal information about what is planned and which areas they plan to build houses check out this link.
