Neighbourhood Youth Forums

Want to speak out about the issues in your local area?  Are you interested in airing your views about the services and facilities in your local area, as well as finding out more ways that young people can get their views and opinions heard by decision makers?  Do you want to take action about an issue that you feel passionately about?

The next meeting of the Earley and South West neighbourhood youth forum is on Thursday 8th July at Silverdale youth centre from 7-9.30pm – this is for young people living or at school anywhere in Earley, Lower Earley, Shinfield, Spencer’s Wood and Ryeish Green.

And the next meeting of the Woodley and the North neighbourhood youth forum will be in September at Woodley Airfield Youth Centre – this is for young people living or at school in Woodley, Bulmershe, Twyford, Charvil, Sonning, Wargrave and Hurst.

The next neighbourhood youth forum for Wokingham and the South East (including Woosehill, Winnersh, Finchampstead, Aborfield, Barkham and Crowthorne) will be on Friday 9th July at Wokingham Youth Centre from 4-5.30pm.

If you are interested in attending any of the forums – please contact Catriona MacMillan, Participation Worker on 07714 226731 or Catriona.macmillan@wokingham.gov.uk

Youth Citizens’ Panel

Young people can tell the Council what they think of their services  and issues in Wokingham Borough by joining the Borough’s Youth Citizens’ Panel.

It’s for young people aged 11-17, and panel members complete a between 6 and 10 questionnaires a year – either online, or by having a paper questionnaire sent out to you.  What could be easier?  If you’d like to register – click here  or contact Carla Tanswell, the Council’s Consultation Officer on 0118 908 8229 or carla.tanswell@wokingham.gov.uk
