Get Involved

There’s lots of ways that young people can get involved in lots of opportunities – have a look around the site to see what takes your fancy and see how you can get involved.

Sometimes, young people need additional support, guidance and help at a critical time in their lives and the Youth Service provides a team of Youth Workers who are  fully trained and committed to developing young people. Youth Workers are sometimes the first adults young people get to know who are not their parents or teachers.

Do you feel you could listen to and talk to young people and would like to know how many offer them some help and guidance? maybe you have the skills to offer something completely different?

There are part – time or voluntary youth work opportunities available across the service. You will be given full training, which can lead to a national qualification in youth work. For further information call (0118) 9746262 to talk to Nigel Shaw (Head of the Youth Service). Or pop into your local Youth Centre.
